knitting for baby girl

I have been really into knitting...I am working on something for the newest addition to our [non-immediate] family, my niece baby girl grace. To me making things for people is not about saving money, or giving people ugly Christmas sweaters that they won't wear. I like knitting because I love giving gifts that are not just last minute thoughts, but things that I have worked on and loved on. I get to see baby girl tomorrow!!! yipEEEEEEEEEE!

baby girl

On the 24th of December, Christmas eve the first baby girl in our family was born. Not to me, but to my little brother and his wife. So far there were three boys and no girls, not anymore.

j: I just think we should keep the one we have. (meaning O)
b: Hahha, yeah, well we'll keep him too, but I think we are going to think about having another little one.
j: okay, then we can make a diaper cake! (since visiting cousin E over thanksgiving this has been an obsession of his, o too....I wonder if they think they can eat it!?)
b: yes we will, but we need to wait since the baby isn't even in mamma yet.
j: yep, you need to eat a lot of food and it will make your belly fat and turn into a baby.
