make yourself comfortable
I wish I could nap like a cat, seriuosly the boys are running around like crazies and she sleeps on. She also stole my seat! The sun shining in, the spot I had been warming, I don't think she could resist that.

the cat life, a life of sleep and simplicity

flowers and kisses, b.
A couple of weeks ago I talked about how our kitty spider had killed 2 rats, since then she has killed 2 more and one bird ( I am sorry mr. bird, I really am). But now an exciting new season has emerged, an even better line of gifts have been given me on our doorstep: flowers! It is really insane. In our last house she did this all the time during the blooming months of this particular flower( we had a kitty door and she would bring them inside), and I honestly can say that I looked on us moving with a tiny degree of sadness just because she would no longer do this, there is not even one of these flower bearing bushes that I can see anywhere in our new location. That is why I was shocked, stunned..and beyond when this new line of pink gifties was left just last night( I shuffled them so they'd all fit in the camera, but besides that I promise this is just from last night!!!):
Can you imagine a cat bringing these one by one throwout the night!?!?! It is so funny! I wonder if she is hyperactive or something! Or maybe she is just nocturnal...as this is what she is doing as I type.
I love this fuzzy cat! I can't believe she found a local provider of my favourite cat flowers!!! Way to go spider!(this is much better than dead things, so I try to encourage her!;)
Oh, and here is my new signature...I love it!!

Spider Kills Two Rats!!
one yesterday, another one today...our little kitty spider is an avid killer and there is nothing that can stop her. not even me, our 7 foot fence or the little rats that she is finding. I am not sure where they are coming from, and really am not to worried about it since they won't exist very soon anyway. I am bragging. We have the best hunting cat I have ever seen or heard of.
At our old house she caught many, MANY birds...which actually kind-of made me sad...but she also caught three moles (little ones to large ones), a bat, and trillions of flowers in the spring (she would leave them on the door mat, or bring them through the cat door, she would then yawl loudly until I'd come to see what her latest gift was). So, because of all this, it wasn't surprising when she was prancing around for over 6 hours taunting this young rat. She started before j's birthday party and continued way after. The amazing part to me is both of the rats that we have found, have no puncture wounds at all (that I can see) they look like they died of natural causes...maybe eventually she gave them a heart attack or something. okay...this is starting to get pretty morbid...I just wanted you to know what an amazing killer cat we have at our house. So: BEWARE KILLER GUARD CAT!
I will spare you pictures of beheaded birds...but I do have some.
